Drug Abuse | Combat Your Addiction

Drugs are substances that alter your thoughts, behaviours and emotions. They can also have an impact on your body. There are many different types of drugs, some of which you can become dependent on using in order to avoid withdrawal symptoms. The development of an addiction to drugs has many contributing factors that vary from person to person. Some of these factors include:

  • Trauma
  • Brain Chemistry
  • Family History
  • Mental Illness
  • Health Problems

The severity of your addiction may differ from others that use the same drug of choice that you do, however, addiction is still a devastating and life changing part of a person. Addiction to drugs has serious consequences on not only your body but all other aspects of life. It destroys friendships, families, and other relationships. It can also cause homelessness and joblessness. Addiction can cause feelings of hopelessness and it may feel like you have no way out. But recovery is possible. It is a lifelong process that requires a lot of hard work and dedication, but it is possible. Through a personalized therapeutic approach, we can work together to combat your addiction and create change in your life. Ultimately the decision is yours to make, but I want to help you learn to lead a life that you love that is addiction free.
